CANCER - VRCC is the leading Centre in the UK for the treatment of cancer in dogs and cats.

  • Radiotherapy - Radiation therapy is a local treatment and is indicated in two main settings, definitive for long term control, or palliative for pain relief and improved quality of life.
  • Chemotherapy - In our on-site modern Chemotherapy Suite we administer these drugs that are toxic to cancer cells.
  • Oncologic Surgery - For many types of cancer, surgery remains the main treatment, although it is often combined with chemotherapy and / or radiation treatment.

CARDIOLOGY - VRCC is one of the few Referral Centres in the UK with a Specialist Veterinary Cardiologist along with the substantial dedicated facilities and equipment on-site, including fluoroscopy and angio pumps required to perform the most complex procedures.

SURGERY - The high level of training and experience of the VRCC's surgeons along with the state-of-the-art surgical and anaesthesia equipment allows the widest range of procedures to be performed

NEUROLOGY - We are very pleased that Sue Fitzmaurice BVSc, DipACVIM (Neurology), DipECVN, MRCVS Specialist in Neurology will be joining us, initially every Wednesday from 2nd February.

MEDICINE - Along with our very experienced, skilled and highly qualified clinicians we have a comprehensive range of the latest and best medical equipment so we are able to provide a superb medical service.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING - We often need to see what's going on before we can fix it. VRCC can boast many firsts including the installation of a new multi-slice CT Scanner and one of the first to install a powerful 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner.

ANAESTHESIA - We are extremely conscious that our clients can have considerable concerns when their companion animal has to be anaesthetised.
