INTERNSHIPS
October 2014

We are now recruiting interns to join our team of dedicated staff, for a fixed one-year contract, the position would ideally suit ambitious new graduates with one or two years experience in general practice who are RCVS registered. You will participate in a revolving rota working alongside our consultants in Oncology, Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia- Analgesia which includes working nights and weekends.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English is essential.

Preference will be given to candiates with UK practical experience. Positions for February and March 2015.

FULL TIME RVNs

We have positions, for Full Time RVN’S keen to work with a great team in unrivalled facilities, you will benefit from working alongside specialists and having the satisfaction of being able to provide your patients with the best possible care.

Positions available - Full Time day with Occasional Nights: 40 hour working week, this includes working weekends and Bank Holidays, you will be required to work occasional nights to cover sickness or holiday, where you work Bank Holidays you will receive double pay and toil, weekends worked you receive time off in lieu. Working hours are between 7am and 9.30pm. There is no on call as we have dedicated Night Nurses.

WEEKEND DAY RVN

Permanent position for an RVN that wishes to work weekends. Hours of work 12.30pm to 9.30pm both Saturday and Sunday every other weekend, you will be working alongside another nurse, an Intern and a senior clinician on a Saturday. Minimal reception duties, responsible for care of in-patients, Emergencies and general nursing duties. No on call.

Entitlements include, pension, life assurance, private medical health.

EVENING KENNEL ASSISTANT

We have a vacancy for an Evening kennel assistant, the main duty of the kennel assistant is to support our nurses throughout the evening, this role will involve some cleaning duties. Working hours will be Monday to Friday for approximately 2-4hours per day.

FULL / PART TIME - DIPLOMATE SURGEON OR RESIDENCY TRAINED SURGEON

VRCC Veterinary Referrals is seeking a small animal surgeon to join its team of specialists in oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia.

Candidates must be MRCVS or have a veterinary degree enabling registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). They should either hold a Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (RCVS, ECVS or ACVS) or should be eligible to become board-certified. The ideal candidate should be keen to do both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, but with a special interest in orthopaedics in order to help us develop our orthopaedic case load.

VRCC is a 24/7 referrals-only centre dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care. Equipment includes a Linear Accelerator (LINAC), multi-slice CT scanner, fully equipped surgical suites, rigid and flexible endoscopy.

VRCC is located east of London, in Essex. The centre is only a 30 minute train journey away from central London and all that this buzzing city has to offer. Southend, Stansted and London City airports, as well as Ebbsfleet International Eurostar station are all within a 30 minute drive, offering easy international connections.
